A Month Full of Celebrations

We went to check out Tarpit on La Brea on my birthday. Drinks were pretty good, but food wasn't so good. We tried the duck burger, meatballs with hominy, and tuna tartare- the only thing that was less than mediocre was the duck burger and that was only because it was served on a brioche bun slathered in butter, everything else sucked. Don't go to Tarpit for the food, just go there for drinks, ambiance and if you want to run into Penn Badgley smelling like weed from the Gossip Girls.

I turned 29 this month...I don't know about you, but I'm not really big on birthdays. They're just not the same as childhood birthdays.
